Memorial Band Parents Association Board Interest Form

The Memorial Band Parent Association is made up of hard-working parents (and teachers) who pool their talents to provide practical support for our band throughout the year. We are currently looking for interested individuals to join the MBPA Board for the upcoming school year.

Note: MBPA Board members must be able to attend the majority of Board meetings. The Board meets one time a month.

The Board consists of the following positions:

• President: Serves as the primary point of contact for the organization and oversees all association activities.

• Vice President: Acts as the president's representative when needed and coordinates senior-related activities and special events

• Secretary: Maintains accurate records of the proceedings of the organization and reports to the MBPA membership.

• Treasurer: Authorized custodian of the funds of the association.

• Parliamentarian: Acts as an advisor to the presiding Officer in all matters of Parliamentary procedure.

• Chaperone Chair: Ensures the safety, well-being, and organization of band students during rehearsals, performances, trips, and other band-related activities.

• Communications Chair: Manages the band program's social media presence and digital communication strategies.

• Concessions Chair: Coordinates the successful operation of concessions stands to support the band.

• Field/Prop Crew Chair: Coordinates and manages the production, maintenance, and transportation of props and equipment for band events.

• Food Crew Chair: Coordinates and manages the food service operations (meals/snacks) for the band.

• Fundraising Chair: Coordinates fundraising efforts to support the financial needs of the band program.

• Guard Liaison: Coordinates and supports the color guard's needs, activities, and events.

• Percussion Liaison: Coordinates and supports the percussion section's needs, activities, and events.

• Spiritwear Chair: Coordinates and manages the sale of spirit wear, merchandise, and other promotional items to support the band program

• Technology Chair: Oversees and manages the technology needs of the band program, including the website and Membership Toolkit platform.

• Uniforms Chair: Coordinates the fitting, maintenance, and distribution of uniforms for band members.

• Volunteer Coordinator: Recruits and coordinates parent, alumni, and community volunteers to support the band program.
